Hmmm, here's a bit of explanation first:
In 1995, a game came out of the Super Nintendo called EarthBound (also known as "Mother 2" in Japan, the sequel to the NES game "Mother"). I bought it that year and automatically fell in love with it. For many many years (an entire decade, in fact) I've been waiting for a sequel to this awesome game. For the past ten years, I, along with hundreds of other in an online EarthBound community have begged, pleaded, and crossed our fingers for a Mother 3.
It has finally happened.
On April 20th (4/20 LOLZ), Mother 3 was released in Japan for the GameBoy Advance. Much celebration has ensued. I ordered my "Mother 3 Deluxe Box" a few days before it was released and after about a week of waiting it is finally on it's way to my home!! It includes the game, a special edition Mother 3 GameBoy Micro, and a Franklin Badge (which protects me from lightning). I wont be able to really play the game of course, because it is in Japanese, but I can still rep my Franklin Badge and Mother 3 Micro. In the meantime, I shall continue to cross my fingers and hope for an American release of the game.
You might be asking yourself "Why should I care?" Well, you really shouldn't. I am simply posting this because I've got to somehow express my infinite happiness at this joyous occasion. I've got to make it known somehow. After all, I've waited half my life for this. Just imagine the sequel you've waited a long time for, that hasn't come out, finally comes out. This is my occasion. It's my time, up here.
Anyway, I could probably write ten pages worth of this stuff, but you've got the abridged version. I'll start another celebration thread when it arrives. It will mostly consist of pictures of me, celebrating.
By the way, if you're interested in finding out a little more about the game, here is the english-translated version of the japanese homepage (graciously translated by our friend Tomato-San at Starmen.net!)
