Anyway, with spring here, the change is rather dramatic. Overnight the brown cityscape turns green, and halls of brown stumps turn to an arbored gallery. Part of this change is the flowering of a great many plants, one of which is the cherry tree. Apparently there is a sizable Japanese community in New York, so they make a celebration of the cherry trees blooming. Dunno why, but hey, sounds fun. So yeah, I went to it. Click to view full: This was all in the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. No, not botanical, botanic. I have no idea what the difference is either. In any case, the had a j-popish band play, various arts and crafts and stuff and... Cosplay. What the hell? Why you ask? Beats me, but it was there; horrible, horrible cosplay to boot. I woulda taken pictures, but I was there to see natural spendor, not the power of the almighty ugly stick. Anyway, I took a crapload of pictures; these are all low-res of the ones I look so they'd be easy to view, if you wanna see any in higher quality, just ask.

Those are some really nice pictures! It's like a whole 'nother side of New York City!
Well, it's pretty far off from Geno the you-know-what anyway...
I gotta fly over there and visit sometime.
*opens wallet*
*Mothra flies out, wrapping me up in a big cocoon*
Well, okay, maybe when I get some money...

Cherry Blossoms certainly do look beautiful though. Kinda makes me want to go into gardening.

I like that blueish tree. with the porta-toilets in the back I was saying to myself: "Should I crop that out? I mean, it's kinda obvious" But then again, I thought: "Naw, only a fag-tard would bring that up" Guess I was right.

In any case, what is the name of those blue flowered tree anyways? Is it a variant of cherry blossom? They are wisteria blossoms. (Wiki: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wisteria ) Usually they are hanging on stuff, like an arch or gazeebo, not just free floating like that.
