So I went to the Opeth show last friday, my first true concert ever, and this is one of the three songs I really wanted to hear them play, none of which they played at all. It was still freakin' awesome though. Awesome, concerts are an interesting experience. The only one I ever went to was a Neil Diamond one, and I was floating on a cloud of marijuana smoke the entire damned thing. I guess it's to be expected with that genre of music, but still. As for me, this is the stuff I listen to, and I doubt I'll be going to any concert playing this shit soon:

You actually went to a Neil Diamond concert? Was this your own choice? And also, there were pot smokers at this concert too, all in the freakin' row in front of us.
EDIT: To comment on the Star Wars issue, I'd have to agree with what most people are saying, Episode 3 had some good parts, Episode 2 and 1 sucked, and I only rank 2 higher because 1 had freakin' Jar Jar Binks. I swear I saw that movie again recently, it's almost like that whole show was about him.
I wonder though, did anyone else think that the Qui Gonn, Obi Wan, Darth Maul fight was freakin' epic? Darth Maul was just bad ass, he should've been kept alive for all of the prequel trilogy, that probably would've made it a bit better. Instead we got Count Doo-doo.

The only time I blazed at a concert was at a free concert in the park with Michael Franti & Spearhead, but they're hip hop and reggae fusion so it was pretty much requisite. Woody Harrelson ran up stage and lit a big ol' fatty at one point, too.
Opeth makes sense. Neil Diamond? Maybe the older side of the crowd trying to relive the 60s/70s.

My dad and a friend of his were going, and I thought that I might as well tag along because I kinda liked the music. Or at least, his older stuff, which he didn't sing any of. I've been to a few free "concerts" in NYC, but I don't think classical music generates the same sort of activity. The duel was cool of course, but I never really got why they were there, so it wasn't as great as it could have been. I though him falling down the shaft cut in half was sorta funny more than anything. Hehe, Count Doo-doo. Also, Woody Harrelson is certifiable. Oh, and for the road, Just to give everyone more reason to discredit anything I have to say about music

It's awesome to be able to watch a lot of a bit of something, I'd say. Awesome sketch, by the way. And since we're on the subject of what we've been listening to... I'm sure many of you are familiar with Terry Scott Taylor and his work on the Neverhood music. I've recently downloaded a bunch of his serious solo works, and I've got to say, the man is a genius. His work ranges from some really great upbeat stuff to songs that are absolutely haunting and heartrending. Here is a sample from his first Album, Knowledge & Innocence. In this album he dealt with such themes as the death of his grandfather and the miscarriage of he and his wife's first child. Heavy shit. This song is called "(out of) The Wild Wood".

A funny video of Darth Vader's recording session for the new Star Wars voice package available for the Tom Tom GPS system. I'd so pick R2-D2 if they had him, if I could understand what he was saying, or if the screen displayed what he was saying.

The Ball and Socket is actually a pretty serious problem in our hospital. All the non-doctor male employees seem to unanimously agree on a two step high-five to fist bump, but the hectic atmosphere of the hospital causes many a muck up.
