Thanks to my inability to sleep, I happened upon a thread that covered redesigns of cartoons. That is to say, a well known cartoon done in a different style. I found the result to be pretty interesting and thought that we could get a bit of a game going for a little while. If you're not sure what I mean, take a look at this. look familiar? What we're going to do is either identify the original cartoon and/or identify the current style it's done in. Of course, we're bound to run into a decent amount of "anime-ized" version of [insert show] so the second part will be relatively redundant, or it'll be just plain unidentifiable. Incidentally, some of the images are cross-overs as well. In that case, we'd just have to identify what's being crossed over. In any case, let's see how far this goes.

I'll start with a fairly interesting one:

Wish I could find a smaller starting image, I'll edit it later.

Heh, that was fast. This one is pretty obvious too, but "interesting" to me also.

Hahah, Marvin the Martian, from Loony Toons. Nice. Bugs wouldn't want to mess with this version though, I think.

That original picture is from a great little art book called I am 8-bit Its full of pictures that take classic games and view them in an artistic light. Here are my two favorite. They can get along. and What you can't see is that Mario has the classic Up, up, down, down code for extra lives on his glove.

That book sounds pretty good. Maybe I should get a copy. Here's an easy one.

The attempted style in this one might be a bit obscure. See if you can guess it.

The attempted style in this one might be a bit obscure. See if you can guess it. Got me stumped. I can only think of Donkey Kong, with the arms and all, but nightcrawler doesn't for that.

I suppose you can pretend Nightcrawler is Diddy Kong, but I don't think that's it.

I suppose you can pretend Nightcrawler is Diddy Kong, but I don't think that's it. Heh, diddy wasn't that emaciated, at least that's what I remember. Maybe DK's been hoarding all the bananas away again, so he's lost a bit?

No more guess? I think the pic was styled off The Maxx. I'll upload another tomorrow when my vision stops getting slow blurry.
