I've developed a taste for these kinds of games ever since I played Half-life 2, which even though considered a first person shooter, had a lot of horror elements in it. And recently I played Call Of Cthulhu, which is freaking crazy. Anyway I've already looked into several games that I want to get, such as Fatal Frame, and I'm looking forward to buy a PS2 so that I can play Siren, Silent Hill, and Resident Evil, I was just wondering if anyone had any games within this genre or similar genres to suggest?

You should totally get Dead Rising. One of the Xbox titles I'll probably end up wishing I had.

Not that you'll like any of them, but I'll just rattle a bunch of names off the top of my head (also, these games aren't necessarily good, but you did ask for within genre). Looks like you've gotten some of the staple games but you could try Kuon, Haunting Grounds, and Rule of Rose. Though I believe the latter go for more of a "ew that's not right" factor as opposed to something with a bit more suprise/shock factor like Resident Evil. I believe The Suffering might lie in the category, but I'd need verfication on that. If you feel like it, you could try out The Thing, based off the movie, though it wasn't that great in my opinion. The Clocktower series might also be for you if you're looking for it. It plays more like Haunting Grounds. I'd suggest the first one for the SNES but that'll be impossible to find sans rom form. I think Cold Fear was one too. There are others that I can't remember at the moment, but in any case, that's a general idea of what's out there as for as console games for the current generation. For next-gen, there's supposably supposed to be a spiritual successor to Eternal Darkness, so you might want to keep your eye out for that.

the Fatal Frame series is awesome, Siren, the Evil Dead series (its too funny/stupid to pass up), The Haunting Ground (but that one gets hard fairly quickly)... if I were back at the dorm room, I could tell you some other ones, but I'm tired, at my mom's house, and I'm done trying to make my brain work. But those are all good ones.

Cool, thanks for the info Emi, I like learning as much as I can about certain games before I buy, and since so far everyone says they are good, I'm more willing to play them.

Silent Hill 2 scares the crap outta me. Red Pyramid, those cockroaches, and now I'm stuck in a room, deep in the ground, full of them.

Ah, that was a rather clever room. Well, not really, but it does suprise ya. Wait till you play the other games with their "trick" rooms.
