Yes, that was a bunch of Japanese nonsense. But it's a good anime, and perfect for Halloween. Horror/Mystery. Mura posted an animed gif a while back of a crazy laughing girl. She's from this series. You have to stick with it for a bit to get the "groove" of the series, but it will teach you one thing; to pity this boy:
Every time Coyote says his catch phrase, to anyone, anywhere, it will probably apply to this character at the same time. He's in a state of eternal screwedness. From the anime, one can only assume that in a past life he made Hitler seem like Jesus to deserve the shit he puts up with. That bad, yes. His lives (yes, that's plural) suck; it's not much of a spoiler, but the series is comprised of different stories, each with our main character eventually dropping the proverbial soap in a different mirror dimension. Imagine sliders, only with some version of Nasty Nate at the end. The thing is that he's pretty likeable, intellegent and proactive, but no matter what he does, his fate is sealed. It's really quite good though.
Really, trust me on this one. Watch 5 episodes. There's crap in here that would make Akagi rethink his life, Alucard tremble and Fatality take up gardening.
I'm actually tempted to make an AMV of this series, with a montage of how the main character gets screwed to the song "Always look on the bright side of life". There's a plethora of scenes where he's about to, going, or has already been screwed. Keep in mind there are multiple universes, so any number of things can happen to him multiple times.
And the last refrence is that you'll apprecate a new location for the phrase: "Good lord I hate this place".
