Thanks to a friend who just gave it to me today. Now, I have to ask, before I install it... is steam that bad?
Also, are there any mods worth playing now (that you guys have as well THAT ARE NOT CS OR DoD, being that you have to pay for those)? Especially multiplayer co op wise.
I'm not sure I want to install it just yet, ja.

How is Steam bad in the first place? I find it serves as a handy little menu to launch my games from.
As far as mods.. I've played Deathmatch and enjoyed it, but there are other ones you can look through by searching that I've seen, like zombie mods, etc. I've also played Sven-like coop maps in Deathmatch. As far as cost.. I think most mods are free, and Deathmatch should come with HL2.. I think.. cuz I didn't pay for it.
Why the reservations for installing it?

That is overwhelmingly nostalgic.. dang.. By the way, I just bought Psychonauts off Steam, and I couldn't be more pleased with it. AWESOME game purely for the humor, character interaction, personalities, and one-liners. Plus you get some pretty cool psychic powers. All in all, I think it's a game most of us would enjoy.

I loved Goldeneye, but I always sucked at it too, heh.

Ah, the good old days of pwnage on the N64. In fact, that's how me and Brian met; Bragging about how good we were at Perfect Dark.

I'm going to like being able to aim better. the aiming controls were the most awkward thing in the world.

And I don't think we ever got a mach on, did we? I remember Star Fox though. We really bastardized those tactics... "Flip, flip, 180! Edge of the screen! Flip!" etc, etc. Good times indeed, even though you did beat me .

I'll look into the mods later, I've honestly haven't been keeping up.
I suppose more or less back on topic, you probably should give Half-Life 2 a go anyways, if for at least the last two levels.

I like the shotgun.

I tend to rely more on the rapid-fire rifles. I'll use the shotgun if ammo is scarce or if I'm in a tight spot though.

Shotgun certainly is your friend in Chapter 6. But, I've been a paint can throwing kinda guy myself.

Heheh, nice. I rather enjoyed the gripping story in HL2. How are you liking it so far?

Heheh, nice. I rather enjoyed the gripping story in HL2. How are you liking it so far? The story is great, but the gameplay... The "water hazard" level... so awesome. I loved riding on that rickety P.O.C for some reason. Ravenholm is nice and creepy; the atmosphere overall is perfect.
