Army of Two was actually pushed back to February, but I'm not sure. Anyway, considering how little coverage there has been lately, I don't think it will be released this month after all, especially since you got stuff like Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect, and Kane & Lynch, another co-op game where you play as criminals, coming out this month.

I want to play a lot of games coming out this month. I am going to kill my wallet doing so. Two of them come out this week; Kane & Lynch, and Assassin's Creed, which I am getting tomorrow. Mass Effect is out next week. It's already a contender for game of the year. So far I've read four reviews on Assassin's Creed. They range from B- to A-, so that's a good sign.
EDIT: We should definitely play Kane & Lynch online.

Alright, Super Mario Galaxy looks damn nice. Super Mario 64 was an awesome game, and it looks like Super Mario Galaxy is the next triple jump beyond that. I look forward to grabbing it.

By Thursday evening, Contra 4 will be the only game that exists for me.
Oh, and Sean: I TOLD YOU SO.

I've been playing Contra 4. Yeah, it's tough, but I can at least get to level 3 without using a continue now...

I finished Assassin's Creed. And how do you finish Assassin's Creed you ask? By killing... Everyone. Here's a little short quick review:
Story: Awesome. You play as an assassin named Altair. Because of your pride and arrogance, you screw up a mission and dishonor the three tenets of the creed and are stripped of all your ranks and positions. You must earn it back by killing Nine people who are corrupt and bring war to the holy land. You are also reliving your ancestors memories. Can't wait for part two.
Gameplay: A mixture of investigation, assassination, combat, and free-running. The most awesome of course being the free-running. Sometimes you want to kill needlessly, in order to see how well you can out run the guards. Someone complained about the combat system and how simple it is. But really it's more about timing and rhythm than complex combos. Overally fun to do once you have mastered and can take on a group of 25 guards and get an achievement for it, which I did.
Graphics: You get to explore three cities: Acre, Damascus, and Jerusalem. All of them have a different feel. I would call Acre the shattered port city, Damascus the river city, and Jerusalem the golden religious city. You can climb to the highest points in every city and see everything in high detail. None of that matte stuff. The crowds themselves are impressive. They had like over 100 character modelsfor each city, and class.
My only complaint is that each city is divided into three sections: Rich, Middle and Poor. And you have to wait to kill someone before you explore another section. Not only that but the "Kill anyone of your targets, at any time, anyway you want" thing isn't really true. You really only have a choice of two or three targets at a time. But overall, great game, really revolutionary in the way it is presented, I don't think a city has ever been as explorable, or any building as scalable as anything in real life as this game has to offer. My score: 9/10.

I wish there were more desert bus simulations out there. I guess it's a dying genre.

Apparantly, Yahtzee went on a trip on an invitation to visit Valve last week, and wrote a travelogue about the experience instead of a video. It was a great read, and shed some really interesting light on how Valve works behind the scenes, with a little humor sprinkled here and there. I'd recommend anyone interested to definitely check it out. www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/editorials/zeropunctuation/2655-Yahtzee-Visits-Valve-a-Travelogue PS: To anyone who's read the article, doesn't Left 4 Dead sound like an awesome game?

Well, the concept sounded awesome, but once you watch some gameplay video you're going to change your mind. I did, at least, I think Anta did so too. It just looks too fast-paced, but they might change that later on.

Yeah, it kinda looked like we might as well play a Synergy map really, but maybe it works better in action?

Anyway, I started Mass Effect. Looks like it might be the first next-gen game to truly deliver what it promises.

The HiddenA pretty cool hl2 mod. Edit: So that was a rousing success IMHO. Mura, Vivi, Vampyre and I had a pretty good time. So to the rest of you with HL2: get it.

Hilarious. He pretty much nailed the pros and cons of Assassin's Creed. Except that I think he is wrong in saying that the most fun is the few assassinations you get to do, it is actually, to me, all the free running and random guard killing you can do that is the most. And the fighting system? It's great. Maybe he just didn't get it, because once you master it you feel so bad ass.
