Hm.. Well I beat Advance Wars: Days of Ruin. If I were to say two things about this game.. it'd be 1) Caulder is a cheap jerkass, and 2) Mr. Bear doesn't like you.
All in all, an enjoyable and refreshing addition to the series.

I'm playing Splinter Cell Chaos Theory again with my roommate. That game sure does make a perfectionist out of me.

I see someone mildly agrees with me. Have you gotten through the trial missions yet, by the way?

Hahahah. I see someone mildly agrees with me. Have you gotten through the trial missions yet, by the way? Not yet, I keep impulsively buying DS games, and have a large backlog of games period. I plan to, though.

You think that's bad? I got an R4 card, so I'll never be able finish a game again.

I just finished GTA and it was amazing, although there are a few things that got left out of the game. The little things like ambulance missions, firefighter missions, taxi missions, buying real estate, car moding, and a use for the mountain of money you get by the end of the game. Although there is none of that, there are great additions like 2 TV channels, police computers in police cars, the GPS style navigation, the social interactions that earn you the friend benefits, both challenging combat that uses a cover system, the ability to have different endings depending of decisions, and a serious story line that is amazing that really tugs at your heart. Really a must play, but all the media out there would have already told you that.

I didn't keep up with the other expansions, but I may pick up GTA 4 in the future. Did you get a chance to try out the online play yet?

GTA IV kicks ass. Yeah yeah yeah, I gave in, I know, but it was well worth it. Same good ol' game play, albeit with better graphics and more things to do. The missions have a good variety, and they really bring out the criminal in you. Remember that kick ass bank scene in Heat? The whole game is like that, doing something bad, getting surrounded by cops and blasting your way out. Some multiplayer modes even have you doing co-op and doing things like escorting a rich wanted dude across the city while SWAT is on your heels. Team deatmatches are a pleasure too, it's like you're a thug and in a gang, and you go around packin' heat and shooting up other gangs. It's great,

I've downloaded GTA I-III, and still fail to see what's so great about it. The driving has always been a tad wonky, and I was never a fan of third person shooters that weren't 2D. In the previous games, the missions always were inane: kill this dude. Steal this thing. Also, considering you're playing an asshole, it was hard for me to get attached to my character (a shock, I know). I also loved the lack of any real penalty for death or arrest.
I'll "get" GTA IV, and the same thing will happen; after about three hours I start snoring

The shooting mechanic is a lot better now, more FPS like. It's good, next time you come down, I'll let you try it.

I'll be down at the end of this month, might as well get some gamin' on then.
