They should have the whole game ship with four arcade style controls, just to add to the overall retroness of the level.

They should also build a time machine feature into the console so that we can order early 90's pizza from some grunge-rocking delivery kid.

I was talking to a coworker of mine, and he was telling me about an arcade-style joystick controller he owns that he hooks up to his Wii, and it basically remaps the Wii buttons to the joystick controller. Pretty cool.

Wow, now here's a new playable character that old-school Nintendo fans are gonna like. I knew this character appeared in the story, but I didn't expect them to put it as a playable character as well. Seems to be an interesting character with some unique quirks, in any case. www.smashbros.com/en_us/characters/hidden07.html

Here's something that's good for a laugh. If you don't want to see all seven minutes of it, go 4 minutes into the video. That's where the good stuff is. www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ZDgjjDnWLM

so got brawl today and love it. I'm really suprised at the fact the havock engine is in this game and lucas and the pokemon trainer are some of my favorate characters. If anyone has played this dose anyone sometimes has lag with the cutscences?

Yeah, I got Brawl at the midnight release with Shane. I dunno what the havock engine is, but uh.. yeah.
I haven't really gotten a good enough feel for the new characters yet to pick favorites.. but Pit is pretty fun to use, and I like Ike's fighting style. I'm pissed that Mario's down special was changed from the tornado to the water gun, though. I don't understand why he even needs it, since he already has a fireball projectile. And the fact that you have to charge it to use it makes it even more annoying.
Lag with what cutscenes? If you're talking about the story mode, I haven't played that one yet.

the havok engine is pretty much the physics engine that every other engine out there, Unreal 3.0, Source, uses.

Well, the game has been released, but they're still making official announcements on the main site, so while they're still doing that, I might as well keep up with them. Today they announced Mr. Game and Watch as a character. There are good descriptions of how his moves work, and an interesting final smash, indeed. www.smashbros.com/en_us/characters/hidden08.html

Mr. Game and Watch's stage this time around was announced, Flat Zone 2. There are some interesting changes and improvements from the old Flat Zone, for instance all the characters become 2D on this stage, and you become trapped in a variety of several old Game and Watch games from the distant past. www.smashbros.com/en_us/stages/stage31.html

You have to UNLOCK stages?! How many stages are there in actuality anyway?

Man, it's always been that way since the original. You start out with some characters and stages and stuff, and you have to unlock all the secret characters, stages, and other things.
I don't know how many there are total, though. I suppose I'll know that once I finish unlocking everything. So far I've managed to unlock a few characters and stages, but there are plenty more.

I knew about the characters, but stages? That's just lame.
