Heh, another pretty badass intro movie, this time for Fox Mcloud. It looks like the guest creature is the Pokemon Emerald mascot, btw.. but I don't know its name offhand. In any case, check it out. www.smashbros.com/en_us/index.html

It's official, Lucas is replacing Ness, and there's a whole slew of revealed special moves in this newest update.

yes indeed it is bitter sweet news. While I like the new move set the bat will be sorely missed. also I hope the pk ice and psi magnet are more effective to use in battle. Flash had the flaw of only being able to arc in three directions and the magnet would only take energy attacks seem to involve all projectiles so that will certainly make him a force to be reckoned.
Lastly I'm happy about the snake recovery while psi thunder is a great recovery move when your close to the stage people tend to hit you with shek's nails nullifying the thunder or litterly running into it giving you a instant death.

The only thing I really didn't like about Ness's moveset was the yo-yo, so I'm glad they seem to be replacing that with something that has a little more oomph. On the other hand, though, my favorite thing about Ness was the baseball bat, and it looks like that's not gonna be there..
I never had a problem with pk flash, so I hope pk ice won't be a downgrade..
As far as the psi magnet, judging from the screenshot it looks like Lucas puts the magnet in front of him, as opposed to making an all encompassing shield. This may mean that the magnet can only cover one side at a time, adding a new weakness.
The snake will be nice as an alternative to getting back on the ledge, since the pk thunder move is tricky to pull off quickly.. but I'm afraid that in a normal attack situation the snake will pale in comparison to the bat.
I'm gonna miss the ability to bomb ground targets with a diagonal pk fire, too.. Maybe it's just me, but I see less utility when it shoots horizontally in the air. Apparantly it makes an explosion now, though, which is neat.

no your right about the fire. fighting more experience players it's easier to catch them in pk fire because they'll charge at you and while retreating can time it right when otherwise they would just block it.
so you where able to effectively use pk flash against people? find it a little hard to believe because it was ones of the hardest things to use unless it was a 4 person brawl. in 1 on 1 battles the only effective way to use it is to block a oppents ablilty to recover by covering the edge with pk flash.

When I say that pk flash is a move that I can effectively pull off, I don't necessarily mean that I can successfully do it whenever against whoever. It's very slow, and it's range is limited, but you can choose where to aim it and choose when you want it to explode, giving it a lot of control for such a powerful attack. It's a fairly rare occurrence when a good opportunity to use it presents itself, but when it does, it's a great move with a nice payoff.
Of course, it's easier to pull it off in a 4 person brawl as opposed to a 1 on 1, because naturally people are more distracted when you're not the only opponent. As far as edge control, I actually prefer using the baseball bat, unless they're way above my head, which might call for a pk flash.

This is probably one of the best moves to use for Lucas final smash. PK starstorm.

Starstorm is quite possibly the most badass move in EarthBound.

hasn't been much to keep this thread alive but a new development is at least a little bit interesting. battling people online has finally been improved with today's update. not only can you connect with random people but if they chicken out instead of being logged out and wasting your time he gets replaced with a computer leaving the other 2 to battle still.

There's an animal crossing stage? Awesome. I like how unamused the animal crossing character looks in the screenshot, or rather, quite upset there's a fight going on.

The newest challenger has just been revealed to be... Pikmin and Olimar. It just seems... so bizarre... yet really cool. The developers seem to really have a knack for creating extremely unexpected new challengers for Brawl this time around. Check it out: www.smashbros.com/en_us/index.html

Hahah, Snake's final smash revealed in this update. I'll say this much, it involves a helicopter and a highly explosive spinoff of Duck Hunt. If that doesn't spark your interest, I dunno what will. Check it out, yo: www.smashbros.com/en_us/index.html
