Oh wow, total unveiling, eh? Since we had those side story and other related "chores" as they were, I thought they would be hard to do without knowing the plotline or the world details. Also, I wonder what everyone thinks of the storyboards and stuff in general.

You know I think it would really help if Sean wasn't the only one drawing all these. Not to say anything bad about Sean's work, but if you had another artist, say Val or Anta or even better if you had BOTH, helping him do the comic pages, it would honestly go a lot faster. They would just have to agree on a new art style that they could all easily work on. You could leave the already existing pages as they are, but the upcoming ones could be done by all the artists together. They should also arrange hours to get together and draw them, that way they can encourage each other and keep each other on track. I think it would also help in the quality of each panel if instead of drawing the finished product on a sheet of normal paper that each panel was drawn, with the proper dimensions, on its own sheet of paper, given enough detail as to not look cluttered when cropped and resized in a photo editing program, where the final product can be put together. This would also allow more freedom than trying to fit it on the conventional 8x11 paper. Just some tips that I thought might help you be more efficient and actually get this done. Also from what I read in the plot-line threads, it seems like you guys need an art director, and being a visionary, and needing practice, I would also like to take the time now to request this position on your team. Seriously, I watch a lot of "making of" segments on DVDs and I believe I have learned enough from hearing art directors to be able to do a good job on this. Plus, if there's one thing I'm sure I'm good at, is knowing how to make a scene look good. I'd do things like help design the look of cultures and their respective citizens and places, and quite possibly help the artists with angles and the mis-en-scene, in other words, concept storyboards for what the final product would look like and maybe even putting the panels together into the final product. This is how I'd like to help.

Hm... a second artist isn't that bad of an idea if we can 1) find someone who's willing and capable of the task and 2) find a decent compromise between styles that will most certainly be very different. I don't think Anta really considers himself a serious artist, even if he does draw well, heh. It might be interesting working with Val... but she would have to do a lot of sharing unfinished works and compromising stylistic decisions.. both of which I don't think she's too fond of. But if I'm wrong, then it's a possiblity..
The panel idea is interesting... but it sounds like it would be a bit of a hassle to get used to.. That and it would also increase the importance of an editor, but I'm sure Anta would be more than capable of handling it if that direction was considered.
The art director idea though I think is a damn awesome idea. I'm all for you getting the position if you want it. I'm curious to hear what input you'd have to provide. I think it would help a lot to get fresh ideas and direction from an artistic standpoint, rather than a writing standpoint, for a change.

Boy, I honestly didn't expect the support, but thanks Sean! I'd love to work with you and whatever other artist would like to work with us, so if everyone else is alright with it, then I'm your man, until I die, or you find someone better.
As for the additional artist, whoever thinks they can do it tell us, so we could proceed as soon as possible.

I can see where Adrian is right about the quality of the comic would be better if each frame was drawn on its own page. And I can see where that would get annoying for Sean and the other artist.
BUT...what if you guys draw the comic on a big paper (ie Comic Paper). Comics sells the paper that comic book artist use when they draw pages for comics. I can get you guys the paper. With the big paper the frames can be larger and the quality will be better.
Heck. I can even get you guys inking pens.

You know how something happens so often that it loses its value? You know like something happens so often that it's just expected. Kinda like Patrick's remark. Things get so old they just don't work anymore.
