I was SOOOOOO surprised to see Raptor: Call of the Shadows on there. That game is so badass, and yet almost nobody has heard of it. One badass thing about THAT game was that even if you got killed, you could kamikaze your exploding ship into a boss to destroy it. You still die, but it makes the death SO much more satisfying.
On another note, I NEED to play Axelay. Seriously. Just LOOK at it.
Galaga and Gradius are also badass (of course) and are probably the only two games that I have played for such extensive amounts of time, I could feel YEARS passing from my life.
I'm not sure about the number 1 choice, because I never really saw anything THAT special about U.N. Squadron... I probably just haven't played it enough though.

Well, it is their list. But yeah, I should get around to playing Axelay as well. It does look pretty fun and seems to be a vertical and horizontal shooter.

I watched the anime that was inspired by or inspired U.N. Squad. It was called Area 88 and it was peaty damn good.
