The movie which was previously codenamed cloverfield is now being called, Cloverfield. Oh well. I guess the name caught on and they decided to keep it. Anyway, a new trailer is out: www.apple.com/trailers/paramount/cloverfield/

Who were the ad wizards that came up with that one?
EDIT: if this movie actually is all Blair Witch style but with a large budget, I will shit bricks

So, what do you guys think the monster is?
I think it's a giant space cloud.

You know, I don't know what to think about that movie anymore. I hear that it's both bad and ok.

Huh, so that's what the final design looks like. I wasn't able to find one when I went looking.

I've also seen this one: But I really haven't been so excited since some of the reviews I've been reading have said that the movie comes off like a standard monster destruction flick. Which is pretty cool in itself but all the hype seems to be for not.

That was a crazy part in the movie, but here's one of the viral videos documenting the demise of the Chuai Drilling Station, the place believed to be harvesting the Deep Sea Nectar for SLUSHO! and the apparent origin of the monster. www.youtube.com/watch?v=NfTWm1nCgLcFOR PATRICK: The movie is actually amazing, its intense, and the kinds of scares it gives you are those burrowing psychological ones, not the cheap thrills. EDIT: Oops, forgot the link first time around.

Whale monster does have it's charm though.

Whale monster does have it's charm though. And it would've been very poetic too, sort of a mother nature's revenge kind of thing.

I always thought dolphins had more disturbing sounds than whales. Probably because it almost sounds like a cackle. Maybe the next monster is a half-man, half-dolphin. He'd be all business.
