Looks like the crow huh? There's a lot of interesting parallels between Ledger's last performance and Lee's as well, if you think about it. Both played unconventional clowns, died before the release of their last films, and their last roles were considered to be their best. Hmm...

Was the Crow any good? I haven't actually watched it yet.

Was the Crow any good? I haven't actually watched it yet. Imagine Max Payne, except with Max being a resurrected guitar-shredding kung-fu fighting badass with a taste for flashy calling-cards. In short, it kicks ass.

Well, there's been a lot of early, mind you, VERY EARLY, reviews of the movie. Pretty much the general consensus is that it's the greatest sequel and the greatest comic book movie of all time. We're seeing it opening night.

Batman had Batman Returns, Batman Begins has the Dark Knight.
I might be able to get that day off.

I never liked the title of Batman Begins. It sounds like some kind of timed test or something, Batman Puts His Pencil Down. Batman Born would have made more sense.
But I'm glad that "Batman" isn't in the title of The Dark Knight. If only more sequels didn't resort to Name Of The First More 2: Some Stupid Afterthought. Fortunately the new Batman movies have the strength of quality to not have to worry about title recognition.

The thing about Batman Begins is that its a title that sounds good but if you think about what the two words actually are, it does seem weird. I would've personally liked if they had kept the original title of "Batman: Year One" which is what the movie was based on, but I guess since Batman Begins actually covers his childhood, post-college years, and year one, it couldn't have been called that. I think something along the lines of "Birth of the Bat" would've been better, or "Batman Begins By OshKosh B'Gosh." I already wonder what the next one will be called? The Caped Crusader? Shadow of the Bat? Batman Ends? Batman: Retirement Plan?

Batman had Batman Returns, Batman Begins has the Dark Knight. I might be able to get that day off. That would be awesome, but I think we should all get our tickets soon before they sell out. I'm trying to plan an IMAX viewing on July 18, at 1015, the reason it's so late is because I also want to get a group of people together to watch Batman Begins before we see the movie. Hopefully Shane would let us watch it at his house, so I could get the Blu-Ray edition and we could watch it in HD! Or if not just see it at someone else's house in SD. Now that I mention it, I should ask Shane soon! I briefly mentioned it at WALL-E but I'm not sure if he was okay with it. I also know that some people can not make this date, if that is the case, I am more than willing to watch it with you the following day. I'm sure of it. So anyone who can make that day, tell me soon, and have 15 ready, so I can go as soon as possible to the Spectrum.

Ha ha. I dig some of Batman Forever. But mostly for nostalgia's sake. Batman Forever did have its awesome parts though. Like when he runs away as a kid and falls into the cave, and then sees the bat coming towards him, and also when he crashes through the roof and the Riddler tells Two-Face: "Your entrance was good, his was better." Anyway, when will you be seeing the dark knight pat?
