This has gone long enough without it's own thread. Project RS3 is the working title for the new vertical shooter by Treasure (Radiant Silvergun, Ikaruga, Gunstar Heroes, Sin and Punishment, Sylpheed, Gradius V, etc.) which is slated for release on the X Box 360 sometime in the (hopefully near) future. Not much is known, but here's what is: -The game will (according to Masato Maegawa, president of treasure) apparently not have any relation to Radiant Silvergun or Ikaruga, and will have very different gameplay from both games. -It will be 3D, but maintain the traditional 2D gameplay (naturally). -In a 2007 interview, Masato Maegawa confessed that the team had postponed development of their new game in order to port Ikaruga to the Xbox 360. Yeah, pretty bare bones info, but I will be sure to post any additional news, if I hear it. Meanwhile, we should all cross our fingers and pray that the news will come soon. Most of the info I've been able to find can be seen here: www.racketboy.com/retro/2006/09/radiant-silvergun-ikaruga-sequel.htmlen.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unnamed_Treasure_ShooterMan, I (seriously) never thought I'd use so many parentheses in a single post.

I wonder what are they going to do this time around. Maybe it'll be a graphically updated version of Clean Asia.
By the way, I got Nanostray.

Don't stare at it for too long. That's what it wants you to do.

The vertical shooter is the most dangerous of game genres. It has no qualms about destroying the weak of mind... And it can. Believe me, it can.

It depends on what you mean by dangerous. Techincally, Trio the Punch and Purila fall into the category of most dangerous games. Followed by Hentai games. Vertical shooters can be dangerous in the right situations though.
