Mission Postings

Heh, enough whining from me. Let's just do it this way: if you are looking for a game post on this board, or look at the postings to see what's available. If you make a posting, say from what time to what you'll be on, and what games you're up for. I'm gonna keep this in pacific time.

I'll start off:

Date: 12/10/04
Contact Method: I'll be on AIM
Be open from: 9:00 PM Pacfic time until about 11.
Games: System Shock 2, Gunbound, Wolfenstein: enemy territory, Starcraft (both), Soldat, Guild Wars.

Maybe this works, maybe not. I don't particularly care for the sporadic method, and I've had fun playing multiplayer with you all when it actually happens.

The reason I've been so adamant about this as of late is because we no longer have as much time anymore. If we keep using the "sporadic" method, we'll never get to play anything. Hell, back in high school we only got through one difficulty level in Diablo over the course of a year. I think we can do better than that, eh?

Anyway, please use this, I'm sure it will streamline things a bit instead of fishing for someone to come on. Well, take care.

So, basic format:

When you'll be open to play (time/date), how you can be contacted (whether through AIM/Forums/IRC/Phone), and what games you want to play.

Also, try to stay in format. NOW or RIGHT NOW really aren't as helpful. Any messages like that will be BALEETED!

Helpful comments are welcome as well. Let's move towards a more streamlined, efficient system... possibli...

Instead of replying to the "mission posting" thread to announce a game, create a new thread instead. Allows you to see what games are still being asked for, ect.

Also, I'm going to delete postings periodically, being that they are expired and all.

A suffocating tension filled the air, as the board members nervously looked at one another. Lurking within a dark corner stood two shadowy figures bent on wreaking havoc. And at that very moment, Captain Cynical decided to speak.

"Apparently, it's rather difficult to pique your curiosity," snidely remarked Captain Cynical.

"Yeah, we've been talking about this for a while," Major Yessman added.

Muramasa then asked, "Um, who are these guys?"

Another awkward silence had filled the air. The board members had finally realized that they were not alone...

Hmm, you know, perhaps it would be better to have the Mission Posting it's own board instead of it's own thread?

I figured it would be better because threads could correspond to specific days, and so the actually mission posting wouldn't get lost if we ever decided to idly chat...like what we're doing now.

It would always be more or less in the beginning.
