Because we don't have one otherwise, I guess. Just a catch all for cool stuff (or, well, at the time cool) that we get from time to time. To kick it off, a 4 gb tiny-arse MP3 player: Got it for $50 bucks at woot (it was technically $40 because it came with a $10 coupon for their shirt store, but really now, I have enough t-shirts at this time), and it's pretty nifty. Two downsides are that it's 1.) refurbised, and 2.) has a commonly reported problem where the left headphone contact breaks solder, leaving you with an effective mono player. That could be selection bias, as only people who have that complication bother to post about it. Be that as it may, I wouldn't mind trying to fix it; however, considering its size it wouldn't be a pleasant task. All things considered, it wasn't that bad of a deal; it was fairly cheap, has an SD expansion slot (so I can add more space for fairly cheap) and it allowed me to fool around with a program called Rockbox. Not to nerd around the bush, it's open source firmware for players (in this case - but not in other electronics - think of it as the OS for the player), that has a pretty good feature set compared to all other systems. If you have an MP3 player, you should consider it.

Man, your mp3 player is about 500 times more badass looking than my ipod. Than again, I got my ipod for free ;D. As for new purchases... All the talk about wrestling in the Young Folks thread has gotten me nostalgic and in the mood to watch wrestling again. I went out hunting, and came back with this: Now, I seem to be the only person on these boards even remotely interested in wrestling, but I'll explain it anyway. The Royal Rumble match is a free-for-all and starts out with two wrestlers in the ring, and a new wrestler enters every two minutes. Most of the time, all hell breaks loose. Anyway, this boxed set has all the Royal Rumble matches from 1998-2002, which is the era when I was biggest into wrestling, and in my opinion, the best era (except of course for the late 80's to mid-90s). I also bought a tape deck car adapter for my ipod. It was only like fifteen bucks, but if it works then I'll be happy.

Thinking about getting one of theseSure, a complete waste of cash with no practical use. But there's something intangibly awesome about it. Edit: such awesome.
