Life-Sized Gundam Completed in Tokyo

Recently, a full sized, 60 ft tall Gundam mech was completed and erected in Tokyo, Japan for the 30th anniversary of Mobile Suit Gundam. The entire thing is decked out in full detail, complete with a working cockpit and lights that turn on at night.

Now, I know that some of you have some bias against Mobile Suit Gundam, but you have to admit that this is pretty dang awesome.

Heh, this reminds me of some discussions I hear about the practicality of mechs in general. While the utility of a giant suit of armor may be questionable, it's still a 60 foot suit of armor.
