I use a gas broiler for a great deal of my cooking. I don't post my broiled stuff that often because I eat it way too fast. It's the closest form of indoor cooking to grilling. These forms of cooking are great because the meat stays really juicy, but the outside gets nice and browned. Flavors are also enhanced, and overall it's superior to baking a piece of meat. The broiler IN ACTION: What I recently made: Honey citrus chicken: 4 chicken thighs, skinned and fat trimmed Rub: 1 tbsp salt+3 crushed garlic/1.5 tbsp garlic salt 1 tbsp pepper 1 tsp cayenne pepper Baste: 3 tbsp honey 2 tbsp soy sauce 2 tbsp lemon juice 1/4th cup pulpless orange juice 1 tbsp minced ginger Rub chicken with seasoning, place on broiler rack, bastle one side with sauce. Cook 5 minutes, baste cooked side, flip, baste raw side. 5 minutes again, same process then 3 minutes, then 3 minutes again, or until chicken juices run clear.

Crap I've made recently: Cod: Eggplant, garlic and tomato paste: Egg Salad: All I have to call this is "Brian's Special". It's basically curry salmon. Meat paste and soup with yogurt: If anyone wants recipes, I'll give em out. I can guarantee they all taste good - well, to me at least. Also, the tea I drink:

That stuffed pita bread looks pretty good. I wonder if I should try making that for the next Anime Expo?

Brian, why is you egg salad so red? Is there lots of Paprika in it? Wow, for some reason I never saw this post. Better late than never. Yes, it is due to both paprika as well as chili powder and cayenne, with a bit of turmeric. That stuffed pita bread looks pretty good. I wonder if I should try making that for the next Anime Expo? They are good, but a bitch to make. It isn't a bad idea: the yield is great and it keeps; for about four hours of work, it lasts for 2 weeks for me (so ~28 servings). Anyway. Just made this, Maple-Tamarind glazed Cornish game hen. Was quite good.

Going to grab some Korean Mexican food in a little bit, while I'm in Busan.
I feel I should do some exposé stuff on some of the Korean food I've had but I tend to forget to bring my shit-tastic camera.
