Ol' Incometax had proposed we get a game of Mornington Crescent up, and I agreed that would be a rousing idea.
So far, we're doing MTA ruleset, airport stop is a free jump, no port stops. Tammany is not in play.
We're still ironing out the rules, and would also like to know if anyone wants to join before we commence in battle.

I find it's a frustratingly difficult time trying to play Mornington Crescent with newcomers to the game. They're always asking about the rules. Ha ha ha ha.
Let's just carry on with it.

I'll only play with you guys as long as double-turns count. If you think that'd make it too complex we can always apply gradient adjustments to alternating stops to balance things out.

If Googly's OK with that, sure, let's do double-turns. Just promise me you won't be too sly with it, we don't want Grand Central in the first set.

I was hoping for a more leisurely game, but if it brings someone else in then I'm fine. Also, double-turns does make sense with the MTA set.

Does MTA involving tying laces? Or was that OCTA rule set? I'm not too fond of anything that requires me to rebound my acquired assets.

Does MTA involving tying laces? I was hoping you wouldn't bring that up. Yeah, MTA has laces. OCTA has pumps instead, much more streamlined. I guess that offsets OCTA being insane otherwise. Are you in?

Well, I don't know, I guess so. But I'm going to have to change my strategies a lot to compensate for the spring-heeled maneuvers that'll assuredly be over used. I'm just worried that combined with double turns, we may get Grand Central AND Liverpool.

We may have to rethink this... maybe you'd have to declare JFK the previous turn? So while it doesn't count as a turn, it loses the element of surprise.

Wait, I don't know about declaring JFK, is it like declaring FDR? Please elucidate me.

Did I break the game?

No, just was going to double check what FDR entailed.
Anyway, JFK is referring to the Airport, and is not in this case referring to a "presidential parley" like FDR (or for that mater, GWB, BHO, etc). That's one of the few quirks of the MTA board.
Enough talk though! If anything comes up during play, we'll discuss it then.
I'm starting at Penn Station at 300 hours, unencumbered. Where are you guys starting?

This part always gets me. Uhh, Grand Central at 0600 hours with some flapjacks and a pair of boxers. I hear it's the most noob friendly setup.
