Phew, it took a bit of time, but it looks like everyone is good to go. As usual we'll think of something as the time goes on, but at least we've got a day together.
I think we should put on our own rock concert.

Well, given the staggering amount of responses, I may as well list the possibilities.
Museum of Natural History. A beach trip. Disneyland. Other.
From the vibe I was getting, it seemed like most were interested in a beach trip. Anyone care to discuss this further?

Beach, hmmm, I would need to buy a hat. However, I would be game if we could find a way to barbecue.
EDIT: Aliso beach has fire pits on a first-come-first-serve basis and can be used to barbecue

A beach near Aliso Viejo or is there a beach called Aliso beach? That's a good 60 km from where we are. Well, regardless, I'm down for anything. Incidentally, I can let you borrow one of my hats if you want, Pat.

Beaches that have fire pits, that I know of, or at least I know where the fire pits are located... include Huntington beach, and Corona Del Mar, which is between Huntington and Newport. I think the beach pertaining to Aliso Viejo would be Laguna?

OC parks just said "Aliso beach" but I think any beach with fire pits has the same policy. So whichever.
And I think I want to buy myself a tacky fedora for the occasion.
Anyway, if we decide quickly, I can begin researching marinades.

So, next question is whoes bring what? The weather (so says the news) is to be AM Cloudys and Sun in the after noon. So, if anyone has an umbrella that would be awesome. I will glad bring something yummy to eat. Maybe pasta salad.

Shall I prepare some meats? I hope someone has a grill face, or whatever, so that we can cook on the fire pit.

I have a foldout blanket thing I can bring (Same thing I brought to the Irvine lake gathering, too). Though we might want another. I probably have a beach umbrella lying around the garage. Need to check what's in there. What all do we want to have there for food, anyways? I believe I have coolers and such if it's needed for drinks, at least. I won't be able to come. Please just accept it. Sorry to hear that.. :\

I'll be handling all meats, charcoal, and I have the grill face to my dad's outdoor grill. However, I might need bricks to prop it on.
As for drinks, it would be splendiferous if somebody obtained some beer. Red Stripe, Sierra Nevada, or Franziskaner are good for barbecuing, in my opinion.

I won't be able to come. Please just accept it. Is there any time you might be able to come later in the day? I don't know how long we're going to want to be there but I'm hoping past sundown so we can sit around the fire.
