Alright, so a friend and I are going ghost hunting this Friday the 13th, at around 200-330 in the morning. I'm making a playlist of atmospheric horror music to set the mood and get us pumped. Basically, anything that could go well with or is along the lines of Silent Hill would be appreciated. I know you guys know a lot of this stuff, so if you can, suggest me some soundtracks to videogames, films, or whatever atmospherical horror/haunting music you guys have.
I'd really appreciate it.
PS. Oh yeah, Patrick, I know you got some stuff that isn't a soundtrack to anything, like a band that just makes crazy ambient melodic horror music. Send me that shit.

Forbidden Siren Soundtrack might be a soundtrack worth adding.
If not, stuff from Aphex Twin might also be what you're looking for too.
Incidentally, where are you going to find ghosts? I'm always keeping my eyes open for a place I haven't heard of, and it might be good to post it here just in case something happens.

We're going by these websites: www.carpenoctem.tv/haunt/ca/theshadowlands.net/places/california.htmSo far we've only picked Garden Grove High School to visit. I think she also wants to visit Chapman Medical Center. But these websites give pretty good locations, it's where we found out about Black Star canyon and that Irvine high school haunting from. Also, thanks for the Siren suggestion, I actually found an OST of it shortly after posting this, and I'll be sure to check out Aphex Twin.

Sounds neat, be sure to post some stories when you get back. Oh yeah, if you don't mind including 8-bit stuff, maybe this one wouldn't be a bad addition: www.youtube.com/watch?v=MK2iLnTR9V8

Mmm, I actually don't have much atmospheric/haunting stuff as much as just out-and-out anxiety, the difference being something like violins screeching out discordant chords instead of drawn out drones.
The most apt I have is Time Began In A Garden by Prurient. Typically, Prurient is a noise artist in the sense of screaming into a mic and forcing it to feedback through a huge marshall amp but in this one it's all atmosphere. There's still some screaming in it on the last track but it's lower in the mix and sounds muted and distant which is perfect for what you are doing. It's about 19 and a half minutes long. If you want it, I can upload.

We didn't see/experience anything. Visited three places. Only place that actually gave us the heebeejeebies was Chapman Medical. We did get to witness the meteor shower at Black Star though. That was an amazing event.

Apparently a ghost followed her home. I don't believe her though.

Well, if it followed her home, it should be pretty easy to get some trace or evidence of it, right?

I'll ask her next time I see her.
