For those of you who know me well, you were probably thinking, "Oh great, it's a thread about Adrian going off on Heart of Darkness again!" But you were wrong! I was just thinking, what do you guys think would make the perfect adventure game and such. I'd be really interested in hearing what concepts you have for stories.

I'd want one where you play as a really evil charater whose goal is to conquer the earth. That is pretty much it; you manipulate and slaughter innocents throughout the game, and the more pain you cause to people (say kill their family members infront of them, then kill them)gives you a reward of sort. Yeah, I'm feelin' evil today. There are really complex puzzles in addition to the usual run-and-gun; and by puzzles I mean trying to plot your enemies downfall. Like in the punisher and the whole fire-hydrant thing.
Hmm, in reality, what would be a good adventure game. I'd say a version of "The Warriors", but that is already being made. An interesting (and I'm sure used) concept is that you are a droid of some sort; you can mix and match parts on yourself to create the type you want. A fast one, a strong one, one that has a high degree of intelegence, one that can repair itself easily, one that can produce other driods from itself, ect.
Yeah, this should be the video-game concepts thread, I look forward to hearin' other good ideas.

Seriously, man. If I don't play that game soon, I think I'm gonna start developing my OWN seperate personalities. I keep playing MGS3 and pretending I'm Dan Smith instead of Solid Snake. As for game concepts, me and Googly were actually coming up with an interesting idea for a game called "Splinter Mind". It's like Splinter Cell, except you play as a psychotic who has visions and stuff, so you're not really sure what is real and what isn't sometimes. Another interesting feature is the ability to mutilate your opponents and decorate rooms with their entrails and body parts. I know I'm forgetting some stuff, but I'm sure Googly can fill ya'all in on the rest. I know I've come up with other interesting game concepts before, and I'll post them as I remember them.

I would describe Splinter Mind but I feel that the graphic nature would upset some of our more gentle (and massively rare) female members. I just don't want anyone vomiting all over the new boards.

The perfect game would be weird. The story: you are a guitarist who wants to be the greatest in the world. You can either go about by gaining skills, OR shooting every other guitarist out there, the choice is yours. The possibilites are endless. Of course bosses would be named after real life heroes, such as Jimi Hendrix and Eddie Van Halen. Randy Rhoads and Jimmy Page would be the baddest ones.

Well what if you're someone who doesn't like guitars? That would be a very unperfect game.

The perfect game for me is if they combined Dance Dance Revolution with Devil May Cry 3.
Devil May Dance Dance: The Revolution

I was going to comment to this with my idea, but then I saw the disrespectful comment and now it doesn't seem worth it.

Do it DO IT NAOW!!! So you really want me to describe features in Splinter Mind such as the one where you are allowed to strip the flesh off of the skull of a guard that you have killed, carve a chosen word multiple times all over the fleshy/blood-soaked skull, and leave it in a hallway for another guard to find? How about the feature in which you would be playing an normal mission with a set objective and then suddenly have a flashback (or was the normal mission a flashback?) where your in a completely different area with a whole new objective without any form of explanation? In Splinter Mind, you are a shadow. A shadow of death.

Yeah, basically it would be a big messing around with... well... everything. What is the main mission of the lead character? Is he even in the military? Why does he have flashbacks of other people's lives? All these would be questions the player would ask but never be able to answer.
