Yeah, might as well have a post about music. Simple topic, just post the first five good songs that come to your mind. Try not to repeat what was posted before.
-The victory music played at the end of a new hope -Yes - "Homeworld" -Ravel - "Bolero" -Susumu Hirasawa - "Sign" (the berserk song) -They Might be Giants - "Birdhouse in your soul"
And yeah, it would be nice if y'all had an mp3 of each somewhere lying around.

I have such a wide variety of music I listen to... I'm almost afraid of being made fun of for it.

Don't worry, Emi. If we make fun of your taste in music, I assure you, it is out of respect.

If you want little know bands that are awesome, then I suggest Dinosaur Jr., The Breeders, Throwing Muses, godspeed you! black emperor, Grandaddy, My Bloody Valentine, Pixies, Portishead, The Residents, Sonic Youth, The Stone Roses, and Wilco.
Most of these are pretty well known in the indie rock scene but seeing that I'm talkin' to you Orange Countians, I assume you've never heard of these bands outside of myself.

The Canyonaro theme.
Ok, I lied. Two songs...
The Canyonaro theme and Katamari on the Rock (the theme song for Katamari Damacy)

Masterplan - Spirit Never Dies A Perfect Circle - Passive Ma'aya Sakamoto - Kiseki No Umi; Sea of Miracles Rob Dougan - Clubbed to Death Sarah Mclachlan - Fear
I love alot more than this, as I'm sure we all do, but this is all I can think of at the moment.
Masterplan, for me, made a really inspirational song; it's really hard for bands to do that and Vivi has an awesome AMV to complement the song, or the song complements the AMV...either way.
Passive: I kind of made my own story when I heard this song; it's kind of like training forever to be able to defeat this unbeatable rival you've had and then it turns out he's dead... God damn that would suck.
Sea of Miracles is the opening theme to Record of Lodoss War: Chronicles of the Heroic Knight. For some people, if they hated the series, this should be the only thing they liked about it, coupled with the AWESOME opening that probably misled them into thinking they would like it. Otherwise, I feel this is an awesome theme to listen to while walking around imagining you're a medieval hero of some sort.
Clubbed to Death is a nice instrumental peice that gives whatever your doing at the moment a rather epic quality. This is a great song to listen to when playing games that have the RPG feel to them.
As for Sara Mclachlan, I just had to put her up. She has a nice voice, the kind The Dankness would attribute to Enya or that girl from The Cranberries. I choose this song because it has a scary sort of sound to it that I think is fitting for it's title. It kind of reminds me of that Sinead O'Connor song...
Well that should do it...

I dont consider Clubbed to Death an RPG song, whenever I hear that song I always think about the Matrix and/ or walking down a street looking baddass. But it gets kinda annoying since it repeats too much. As for the other songs, they're good but I don't know the first one...
On a tangent, The Mars Volta is like the greatest new band out there. Seriously, guys. Seriously. They're like Led Zeppelin meets Crimson meets progressive rock! Plus, they do concept albums!
Songs to check out:
From "Deloused in the Comatorium" -
Roulette Dares (The Haunt Of) Cicatriz ESP
From "Frances the Mute" -
Cygnus...Vismund Cygnus The Widow L'via L'viaquez Miranda, That Ghost Just Isn't Holy Anymore Cassandra Gemini (30 min).
Actually that's the whole album...
