I don't think anyone can be a fan of starcraft, even though it might be addicting, doesn't mean we love it. It really pisses you off.

As much as I'd love to see Starcraft II, they might try to make it full blow 3D, which would kill a bit of the charm. Sure, sprites might be more time consuming, but if done right, look pretty cool. Hmm, maybe that's why it would take them so long to make a sequel?

I think a game that still manages to make the transition from 2-d to 3-d and still looks good is Age of Empires 3, it should be awesome, me thinks.
