Wow, pretty cool. They're like a foreign band. Can't make out what language though, it seems to be like, French-Spanish. As for "Mars Volta" type bands, I've also Kinda gotten into Coheed and Cambria, the more mainstream, yet less cool version of Mars Volta. I've also kinda tried to diversify my influences, i've gotten into King Crimson, Yes...Godspeed.
Edit: The language may be portuegese.

Two musicians.
That play music.
From Spain.
And Peter's mom.
And Stalin.

And, Adrian, I looked it up.
They speak Catalan... which is, what you said, a mixture of Spanish and French.

Anyway, putting those bands aside. Highlight to me what you like about "De-Loused in the Comatorium." Or don't like.

Overall, it's a really great album. I would say that "This Apparatus Must Be Unearthed" is the weakest track. The strongest is undoubtably "Take the Veil Cerpin Taxt." Everything else is solid and is where it should be.
I liked the backwards guitar at the end of "Inertiatic ESP" as I haven't heard that done since King Crimson's "Book of Saturdays."

But I actually dont listen to it as much as the other tracks, i guess it is indeed the weakest. Its a really poppy song actually...

Can't remember, but I did go back to Best Buy today and actually got it this time. Just finished listening to it but, as will all prog albums, it will take me a few more listenings to really get the feel for it. I shall analyse it a bit later.

Anyway, thats the one about the guy who took rat poison and got himself in a coma. The whole album is about his psychedic trip while he was in it for about 9 days. After he got out of the coma, he couldn't handle the switch back to reality again and jumped off a bridge into 5 o'clock traffic. You'll find a lot of lyrics refering to his suicide in "Televators" and "Take the Veil, Cerpin Taxt." P.S. We have to go see em in concert this summer!

P.S. We have to go see em in concert this summer! I'm up for it. When and where are they playing? Oh, and how much will it cost? When: Who knows? Where: Hopefully some where close. Cost: Depends on where they play. I don't know for sure when they will be touring. But they just got done with their Australian dates. They're also recording their third album now. My statement was a hopeful one. Its like one of those "just because you keep saying that doesn't make it so." So I'm just hoping they play near us in the summer. Hopefully not with SOAD again.
