This sucks. Everything important during the summer is falling around the same damn date. Origins, once again, falls during the same time as Expo, and we were going to figure out how we were going to do it.. but now it looks like it won't work. We have tickets for Wicked on July 2, which messes everything up (but I sure as hell am not missing Wicked. I've been waiting for months for that show to come to town!) We had originally planned on me going to Origins for a little bit, and then heading to Expo for a bit. But now this is how it would end up if we did it: I go to Origins on June 29 and come back on the second to go to Wicked. Then I would have to fly out on the 3rd, and only spend the 4th at Expo. For one, it's too damn expensive... and it would be too difficult. Sorry guys. Morrigan and Lilith are going to have to wait one more year. I AM going to come out though. I haven't seen my cousin in 2 years, and I will not allow this, so even though I'll miss Expo, I'm still going to come to California this summer. And we all have to hang out. So yeah... I'm done now.

Wicked is one of the biggest musicals touring right now. It's been in New York for a while and it is just now starting to tour around the country.
It's the witch's side of the story from the Wizard of Oz.

They used to play previews of it before movies all the time? Its supposed to be a sort of like Wizard of Oz from the witch's view. EDIT: Damn it! Emi Got to it first!

If it were up to me, you'd all miss expo.
And, instead, you'd be spending the time baking cakes.
For me.

Shame ya can't come. Well, if it makes ya feel any better, just pretend you're missing out on an overpriced swapmeet dedicated to anime stuff.

It wasn't the water that killed her, it was the hatred that was in the water. Or the bacteria. Or something like that.

Actually, it is the water that killed her (and now comes the explanation from reading the book the musical came from).
Elphaba cleaned herself with oil instead of water.
When Dorothy goes to find Elphie, Elphie's dress catches on fire. In an attempt to put out the fire, Dorothy throws water on her. This kills Elphie, and the wizard rejoices (until he finds out the big twist).
Hahaha. I love it.

So, what about moisture from the atmosphere?

Indeed, and what did she drink? Also, I think she must have been one damn lucky witch to not come into contact with water in all her years of living... o.O; Accidents happen... Rain? Sprinklers?

General moisture like that didn't do much. If she got a little bit of water on her, it would hurt, but not moisture in the atmosphere.
Well, obviously it's not all liquids that hurt her. Just water. So there are plenty of drinks she could have that aren't completely water based, such as milk, juice (probably with no water added. the juice comes from the fruit), and so on.

I think I know the answer...
It's fiction.
