You put the "gone" in egonomics.

After leafing through the comments, I'd say it's most likely an Orca.

Someone actually theorized that it was Falcor from the Neverending Story. That makes me sad.

For serious. Do you want someone to say to you "You got spirit!" or "You got soul!" Eh? EH??

If you look a the etymology of the terms and not just the modern understanding, you'll see that they are very much similar. The only big differences is where they come from; "soul" from Old English/Germanic and "spirit" from Latin.
I could have said "psyche" (from Greece) and still been talking about the same idea.

The original meanings of the words are the same. These wods have many definitions, but they still maintain their original definition among them.
Dictionary.com says:
Soul 1. the principle of life, feeling, thought, and action in humans, regarded as a distinct entity separate from the body, and commonly held to be separable in existence from the body; the spiritual part of humans as distinct from the physical part.
Spirit 3. the soul regarded as separating from the body at death.

You still haven't answered my question. Would you rather have someone shout at you "You have spirit!" or "You have soul!." This has nothing to do with textbook definitions.

Depends on the situation. If I were playing basketball, spirit. If I was playing jazz, soul.
Outside of these kind of situations, I have no preference.
