Although my computer is undergoing some renovation currently, when it's complete I can't wait to try this mod out: www.hidden-source.com/Seems like, if played right, it can be a great experience. And if we had a group of around five (1 hidden, 4 marines), it could work out quite well (without messing around with pubic... err, public servers). The basic premise is there's one "hidden" going around and solid snaking/sam fishering everyone. The other guys are to kill said stealthy bastard. Pretty simple concept, no? Also, who still doesn't have HL2? If so, WHY THE HELL NOT? |

About your comp though, when do you think you'll be operational again? We can't really put up a new site, much less a new comic (which is on the verge of being ready for unveiling), without ya.

We can't really put up a new site, much less a new comic (which is on the verge of being ready for unveiling), without ya. There are a few things I'm takin' care of regaurding the computer: 1.) Getting my old files off (~200 gigs) onto DVD. Mostly anime/manga I haven't read. Usually I wouldn't back all that up, but the school network is restricted and I couldn't possibly get it here. (On that tangent, I need a helper in that regaurd...) 2.) I'm fooling around with different operating systems on my comp. I don't have a windows install with me, so if I can't repair my old windows installation, I'm staying on linux. Screw paying for a new copy, heh. 3.) There were a few things I negelected for a while I'm gonna take care of now. My computer has always run hot (ambient ~50 C, CPU ~97 C (That's 200 F!)) so I ordered some cooling measures, one being new thermal paste for the CPU. That arrives tuesday, but I'm gonna hold off on doing anything until then. In the off chance my CPU gets destroyed during the "burn in" process (where the new thermal sets), that would... uh... suck... yeah. 4.) My school's connection is very, very, fickle. It's been working over the weekend now off and on (which is why I can post now), but it doesn't really have any rhyme or reason to its function. That's about it, hopefully by W/Th I'll be all set. If not, I'll just install linux on an HD and start from there. |

We'll have to set up a meeting to work out all the kinks for the new site's layout and design. Had you made anything for it yet, or no?

Shouldn't take that much effort though, I don't remember it being that hard. The only real thing I had to change are some rollover stuff. Gotta brush up on CSS and PHP again, but whatever. Man, I just wish CSS was more intuitive. Whatever... |

Just recently I've beaten Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory (both single and coop) so my sam fishering is pretty refined as of now. In fact, I'm right behind you right now using my wrist 'puter. DON'T LOOK! I think you'd prefer your upper spine to be in one piece.
ANYHOO, I may be able to get a a copy of half life 2 as my friend who's also my new roommate has the leet stylez to hook me up. Drive space will be an issue though. Why do I feel the need to download every leaked album I come across? Srsly.

Worked a few things out and got HL 2 running pretty well, but Hidden is all "unable to load authentication library" 'n stuff.

Que sera, sera. On a tangent, my computer is up an running. I'm gonna stick with this install until I burn more crap off, then change which drive boots. |

We could always play Goldeneye: Source.
The "classic" levels don't require as much rendering so it's running smoothly on mine.
