Eh? I thought S.T.A.L.K.E.R. was in a post-apocalyptic future.

Eh? I thought S.T.A.L.K.E.R. was in a post-apocalyptic future. It takes place in the future, but there's no apocalyptic event, it's just a zone where the Chernobyl power plant had melted down for the second time, releasing radiation and changing the environment and it's animals.

I see.
Well...Fallout certainly is I'm sure, but you have that already, as stated..

I tried playing it once, and I didn't like it. I'm thinking about giving it another chance.

Ya know, I had the same reaction when I tried playing it.. Shane loves it, though.

Etrian Odyssey looks awesome. www.gametrailers.com/gamepage.php?id=3773It's an old-school dungeon RPG, for old-school RPG fans, like myself. You even have to draw your own in-game maps! Badass. Now I just gotta finish Final Fantasy III before it comes out. THAT game is an ass-kicker.

Sadly enough, I'm looking forward to a bunch of games coming out for the PS3. Good thing I'm getting one in July.

Games I am looking forward to: Heavenly Sword. Think "Goddess of War" or "Princess of Persia." ps3.ign.com/objects/700/700186.htmlLair: Ride dragons, and fight other dragons, or set people on fire and then eat them. ps3.ign.com/objects/761/761161.htmlWarhawk: Third-person online shooter, kind of like battlefield. ps3.ign.com/objects/748/748468.htmlDark Sector: you play as a mutated CIA agent, with an a la Gears of War interface. xbox360.ign.com/objects/674/674091.htmlToo Human: Be the Norse god Baldur---in the future and as a Cyborg, and defend earth from other presumably Norse inspired forces. It's also got up to four player Co-op, so if anyone else is getting a 360 you might want to look into it. xbox360.ign.com/objects/748/748783.htmlKane & Lynch: Another awesome looking co-op shooter, but this time you play as a mercenary, and a psycho. xbox360.ign.com/objects/842/842693.htmlClive Barker's Jericho: Who knows what the hell this is about, but the story is written by Clive Barker, so it should be good. xbox360.ign.com/objects/843/843257.htmlDevil May Cry 4: Devil May Cry 4? xbox360.ign.com/objects/894/894664.html

Yep, Devil May Cry 4 is coming out to Xbox360, PS3, and PC. I guess I'll just bum a system off one of you guys if I really get the need to play it, it's looking pretty good so far.

Update: Etrian Odyssey
I mentioned a few posts up about a new DS game called Etrian Odyssey. I've bought the game and can now confirm it's badassitude. It probably isn't for most people, because it's really hard and requires alot of patience, but if you have the craving for an old-school ass-kicking dungeon-crawler RPG, then this is your game!

I certainly have a lot of patience and a slight appreciation for hard games, but is it hard for reasons other than the fact that you need to grind for 3 hours to be decent in an area?

For some reason, I thought of a multiplayer dungeon crawler in which allows a party to designate a map maker. Heh, what if that person had the worst sense of direction?

I certainly have a lot of patience and a slight appreciation for hard games, but is it hard for reasons other than the fact that you need to grind for 3 hours to be decent in an area? It's hard because it's more based on how you build your party and which skills you focus on for certain characters. It's all about making a good party with characters that can support each-other well in battle, because even when you grind and level up a crapload, enemies will still be kicking your ass.

Ah, that's certainly what I'd like to hear. Incidentally, did you finish Final Fantasy 3 yet?

Ah, that's certainly what I'd like to hear. Incidentally, did you finish Final Fantasy 3 yet? Yeah, I finished it the day before Etrian Odyssey came out. Man, I swear, the last part of FF3 is stinkin hard.
