Everyone's favorite high school history teacher has sadly passed away due to a pulmonary embolism. More details as I get them, but for now, a salute to one of the best teachers we've ever had.

I liked him, he was one of the few teachers I actually talked to about other things besides school. I was just thinking about him before I heard he died too.
Here's something I got from a bulletin Bernie posted:
Today we take a the time to remember John Sorrensen. He past away this morning due to cancer.
For the past few weeks he had been in the hospital and underwent several surgeries, including open-heart surgery. He was scheduled to be dismissed from the hospital and come home today, but complications arose.
One thing that he was looking forward to most after retiring (which he planned on doing at the end of this year) was to go back to composing and conducting. Two things he loved to do.
He was a husband, teacher, musician, composer, and a friend.
You will be sorely missed.
Rest in Peace June 7, 2007
