Not only is it filled with mostly freshmen who've already mastered most of the material in high school and the teacher is moving the material along in a faster than usual pace (we were onto translating full sentances by class 2) but the teacher sees fit to change the classroom or take a off day and mentioning it only the class before. And as I had to miss the previous class for superseding reasons, I am now freaking as the class isn't there where it should be.
Sounds like I'm going to be doing some crazy nervous meltdown studying now.

Damn man, that's pretty annoying. It's only Latin 1 though, so it shouldn't be too bad right?
Are you guys heavy on parsing and translating, or are you one of those foolishly foolish fools who foolishly try to speak that foolish language?

Mostly translating but the last class I attended he had us go around and verbally translate.
Of course I froze like a deer in headlights despite knowing my shit. The sound of the collective eye-rolling was horrendous, as though I mentioned Red Lobster (that's right, I brought it up).

I always imagined the sound of collective eye-rolling to be a mixture of squishing and wind blowing. You should have taken Latin at Tustin High man. John Conant and Mrs Witt were pretty cool teachers.

It sounded like the screeching metal of a trailer truck in an underpass tunnel that it is just slightly too large for.
I should have but I retardedly took Spanish. Which, in turn, didn't count for college credits. GG Tustin.

Really? Damn, that sucks man. I wish they'd get that stuff figured out before hand instead of pulling the ever retarded "lol, it doesn't count, suprise" trick on an unsuspecting student.

I'm sure there was some procedure to follow (a test perhaps, an application to fill out, a grade average to maintain) that, in my capricious youth, failed to notice.

Well off to art appreciation I go. Here's hoping they too don't pull the double secret no class maneuver.

I'm sure there was some procedure to follow (a test perhaps, an application to fill out, a grade average to maintain) that, in my capricious youth, failed to notice. Maybe. On the other hand, I knew of a gal who took a bunch of courses at IVC, then moved up north to Humbalt(sp). None of her classes transfered except for a yoga class. Yeah, a yoga class. Sometimes I think what carries over is sometimes arbitrary. Well off to art appreciation I go. Here's hoping they too don't pull the double secret no class maneuver. Have fun.

Why did I change my avatar to the jerk? Let's see if someone can guess why I'm so utterly stupid.

All you need to know is "memento mori." My favorite latin phrase: Remember that you will DIE.

The lesson from this is to pay attention to the calendar.
Mondays are not Tuesdays.
