[whine]i have a huge ass midterm in 36 hours...I'm ,what the french may term as, "f@#$ed." I'm losing my childhood memories because of the memorization and retension of names. It's not a lot. but I have senioritis. [/whine]
That being said, my fav. songs, since i'm studying to them, are "take me out" by franz ferdinand and "gotta get thru this" by daniel bedingfield, and "my sharona" by (the) knack.
fav. band at the moment would have to be franz ferdinand. Soft spot for jason mraz.

I've been listening to a lot of Good Charlotte lately, and a bit Metisse. my favorite band though, Smile Empty Soul, needs to come out with a new CD. I'm itching for some new songs by them.

I have a new song obsession after last night. It's called "Beautiful" by Mandalay. it was on the movie "Iron Jawed Angels" at the end, and was really pretty. so now I'm trying my best to download the damn thing.
now if only I could get ahold of Ishida's song from The Man of Men. (Walking through the empty age, I think it's called.. i dunno.. amazon said cage. *shrug*)

I'm so uncool. I don't know any of the above mentioned bands except for good charlotte(eeyuck, sorry emi), modest mouse and flaming lips. I've heard of death cab for cutie...but not any of their songs.  I'm addicted to "she will be loved" maroon 5 right now. I know, I know. |

I don't expect anyone here to know who Mandalay is. i think, as good as the music was, they weren't one of the groups that got really famous. I'd say underground music, but... I'm not sure they would fall into the category.

I've heard of Polaris, but again no songs. Or if I have I wouldn't know it was them.
So i put on mtv2 or something today, you know the 24/7 music video channel., and my mom went nuts "they sound the same, they look the same...why are they famous" Some chick with a band was "singing" I have no idea who she was and I didnt leave it on any longer to find out. The guitar in the video enticed me tho', the way it looked i.e.
