Well, it's that time of year again, and as usual, I'll be hosting my yearly horror marathon without fail. I haven't assembled the roster yet, but feel free to post any requests regarding things you'd like to watch at this years marathon. The only definite so far is David Cronenberg's version of The Fly. Hopefully I'll have the final list up within the next couple days.
It seems that most of you left Halloween open, but if you can't make it for any reason, or have any other questions or comments, just let me know.
THE ROSTER (will edit as necessary over time):
-The Fly (1986) -Phantasm (1979) -The Mist (2007) -Dog Soldiers (2001) -Fear (1996)

I don't like running, much less in a costume. Anyway, the fly is a good choice, ain't seen it in a while.

Since y'all like Silent Hill, might I suggest Jacob's Ladder?

Jacob's Ladder would be interesting. Pretty creepy movie.

As far as food goes, I'll probably grab a bunch of snacks for the evening, but apart from that I think I'll do it potluck-style, and let you guys brings stuff also. Let me know what you guys think.
Also, Phantasm (because several in the group still have not seen this classic) and the recent short film adaptation of The Call of Cthulhu (if I can get ahold of it) have been added to the roster. I will consider adding Jacob's Ladder, assuming too many people haven't seen it already.

I agree with the potluck, that way everyone gets what they want, AND no one has to spend that much money. While I hear that it's not at all scary, like the story, Call of Cthulhu does capture the dread and hopelessness of the text. Also, it's a neat little Silent Film which I have been wanting to see.

Yeah, I've heard nothing but brilliant reviews about it. I hear it is especially a must-see for Lovecraft fans. Also, be sure to post when you know if we can host it at your house or not.

We should compile a list of who's bringing what to the potluck so we can get a good variety of things.

I hear good things about The Mist, and I haven't watched that yet. Maybe we can consider that movie this time?
I'll bring cream puffs.

The Mist has been officially added, as have Dog Soldiers (which was originally going to be shown at last years marathon, but I couldn't find the DVD) and the Fear (because it's effin scary).
Unfortunately, Call of Cthulhu might be taken off, simply because it's very hard to find. We shall see, though.

There better be liquor at this joint. Actually, maybe not. I might only be there for a few hours, and I'd have to drive somewhere else. There are many things to do on Halloween night.

Ah yes, that too. There's an upside, though. Mother's party cooking.
