Of course Superman probably shattered Batman's skull into dust with that punch but you could be sure that Superman would go into whatever afterlife, punch Death, and bring Batman back to life. Not like he hasn't done that before. Or rather, he could spin the world backwards, reverse time, and tell Batman to shut the hell up. Did that before, as well. No sympathy for Superman.

Superman is a total pansy, sure he's got powers no one would mind having, but without them, he can't even throw a punch. Batman's just simply the best, not to mention he's had to put superman in his place quite a few times.

Honestly, given each character for what they are, neither of them serve to be all that believable.
But Batman at least has antihero qualities worth exploring in later comics and movies.
