I decided that, since art from classes tends to deviate significantly from my usual work, to create a separate space just for classwork.
Technically, you could say the illustration sketchbook fits here, but that assignment is so unusually open-ended and unrestricted that I'll keep those in the Illustration thread. Also, anything in the way of animation is so sparse anyways, that I'll simply keep those in their own thread, classwork or not.
Any artwork of a larger size (larger than my scanner) generally needs to be photographed in order to be uploaded to the computer. Also, I'm pretty lazy about getting around to photographing artwork. That being the case, any larger artwork will likely take longer to get uploaded than smaller ones. In fact, I'm pretty sure there's still stuff from the previous semester that hasn't been photographed yet...
In any case, here's the classwork thread. Welcome.

The first major project in my Illustration A class consists of two concurrent works. One is a "master copy," in which we faithfully recreate an illustration of our choice by one of several famous Illustrators that the professor selected. The second is a "book cover," in which we recreate a book cover illustration of our own design for an existing book of our choice. In both cases the projects go through three phases. A pencil line drawing, a charcoal value study, and finally a color acrylic painting. So, with all that said, here is the first line phase of each of the two projects. Master copy: Book cover: Enjoy. The following phases will also be posted here soon.

And, finally, the third and final stage, color. These were done in acrylic, and this is in fact the first time I've touched acrylic paint.. so it was an interesting challenge.. In any case, enjoy. Let me know what you think. Master copy: Book Cover:

Project #2 in Illustration class is a caricature project. We choose to caricature a "mega celebrity" of some kind. Open media, the only requirement is to include a collage aspect, as much or as little as we like. Here is the original penciled line drawing of my Conan O'Brien caricature: Enjoy.

Heh, caricatures are always fun. I like it. Funny thing is, it kinda reminds me of a Mike Judd character.

Illustration Project #3 was a greeting card illustration project. The first step was to design a greeting card (the class decided on a Christmas theme). We then passed off the concept to another student, who illustrated the card under the designer's direction. The illustration below is the final resulted illustration for the card concept that I received. Initial concept isn't mine, but the artwork is. Project was open media, I did mine in prismacolor pencil with inked lines. Enjoy.

That looks really adorable and delicious.
Hell, would you wind if I used it for Christmas cards? It would be great to get a higher resolution if you have it, or maybe include your sig somewhere.

Yeah, man, I wouldn't mind, as long as some sort of credit is given. I suppose I can fit a sig of sorts in there to help with that, though.
Anyways, I'll scan in a higher res version and pm it to you or something. I can also send you the inside part, which I didn't upload because the front illustration was more interesting than some lettering and steam swirls.
Is there a time you need it by?

Not really.
I mean, a week before Christmas would be nice.
