I play demos to determine if my computer will even run a game at all. If the demo is good and it runs smoothly, then I will get the game.

Are demos generally available for most games? I wasn't even aware...

Not really, but if there's a demo for a game that I'm interested in then I will check it out. It just so happens that there aren't many games I am interested in.

Well, I completed the main games for Portal and Half-Life 2: Episode 2. I must say, the Orange Box is a smashing success in my book.

Portal is a triumph. Take note, it's a HUGE SUCCESS. It's hard to overstate my satisfaction.
Interestingly enough, Aperture Science entered the scene in Half-Life 2: Episode 2. It's pretty apparent that Aperture Science is going to play a large role in Episode 3 as well.
Episode 2 was great, but man, it felt like it went by so fast, even for an episode. I suppose when I look back at all the stuff I did in it, it really was probably about as big as Episode 1 was, but I can't shake the feeling that it was shorter. The ending credits really took me off guard. Ah well.

I bet the gravity gun will get integrated into Gordon's next HEV suit, and he'll get the portal gun by Half-Life 3

That crossed my mind, and that would be freakin' awesome.

Well, whatever happens, it's gotta end with a crowbar somehow.

Heh, that reminds me.. There's an increase of references back on the original Half-Life game in Episode 2. Some for insight, some for revelation, some for nostalgia, and some for comedy. They're starting to tie current events in with the original game a lot more, which I'm liking.

Well, I got all 120 stars in Super Mario Galaxy. Fun game, if not a tad easy. ^^d

Then again, I don't ever remember any Mario game being too hard. Except for that maze in the last level of the first game.

I still need to finish Ace Combat 6. I do about a mission every two weeks. It takes that much out of me. And I still need to play:
BIOSHOCK THE ORANGE BOX
By the way I also got Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. I HATE the series, but it was on sale for 37 bucks and most of my co-workers play it online, so it was a good deal. The single player campaign is actually really darn good. So far I've done just about everything you can do in war: stealth sniper missions, frontal assaults, helicopter rescues, etc. LOTS of scripted events, the first two missions you feel like a spectator, watching your squad AI mates take out enemy AIs, but eventually you find a good role in the game. Nothing as awesome as the Half-life Series, but definitely close. Completely changed my opinion, considering it went a different direction from the first three titles in the franchise. The graphics are overrated though, certainly looks good, but nothing on par with Mass Effect or Assassins' Creed.
Also, the more stuff I look up on ETERNAL SONATA, the more I want to play. Will certainly try to get it soon.

Well, I beat God of War. A great game overall, definitely. The dark, mature plotline was a refreshing change of pace compared to most video games, and it's rare that you get a game that takes place in mythological times. I plan to get a hold of God of War II at some point.

So, was it a glitch, or did you forget to do something?

I'm sure it's not a rare thing that there are mature games and games set in "mythical times." Such examples include Titan Quest or Age of Mythology. But if you liked God of War you might like the new prince of persia games, at least sand of time, if you're in the mood for more action/adventure gameplay of a slightly different variation. As for other mature games, I can't name many off the top of my head, but Mass Effect is surely one of them.

Well, I finally finished Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. Stupid little nonsense detail to get stuck on, like I figured.
In any case, it was a good ending.
