Yeah, that theme could refer to either the gory flesh stuff or the brutal industrial atmosphere. I'd prefer the latter but it is hard to think of anything.
God, I could watch Electric Dragon 80.000 V again which would fit and maybe A Clockwork Orange since it is also brutal but awesome.

I was thinking more along the undertones.

You mean like post-industrial sexual violence? I don't think we're going to find another film with a penis-tank in it.

Re-TARDED. Steven Spielberg? Oh ho ho ho ho ho ho. Direct? Oh ho ho ho ho ho ho. Good? Oh ho ho ho ho ho ho. Peter Jackson and Edgar Wright are involved also. Besides, Spielberg's apparently a huge Tin Tin fan.

Adrian, you don't like Schindler's List? Saving Private Ryan? Jaws? Close Encounters of the Third Kind? War of the Worlds? Every Indiana Jones Movie? E.T.? Jurassic Park? Minority Report? Come to think of it, what has he ever done wrong apart from A.I.?

A.I. was worth the watch purely for Teddy, if nothing else.

I don't like the last Indiana Jones and World of the Worlds so much but Munich was great.

Well, Spielberg is beside the point. The real point is, who else is excited at the prospect of a Tintin movie? I'll be honest, I was ALL ABOUT Tintin back in the day. Frickin classic stuff. I even downloaded all the old comics as well. Man, I forgot that Snowy was such a lush. Then again, they probably cut that out of the cartoons, lol.

I was never too into Tintin because of his bland looking nature. But after reading about him on wikipedia, it looks like that was the intention of the author. Well, I'll certainly be game for it regardless. The "hero who travels the world and saves the day" story is the kind of story I never get tired of. I wish it was hand drawn though.

The Adventures of Tintin was a quality show. I never actually read the original comic but man that was a great show amid all the typical super action 80's-marketing adventure cartoons of my youth.

Yep, that's been in the planning stages for quite a while. It'll be Pixar's next film.

Heh, I didn't know people knew that. And I so hate when people think they know something they think I don't.
