A random one that probably won't be added, but: I say Claudia from Interview with the Vampire (the book, not the movie)
That was one cruel little girl. She loved killing people, including a woman whose body she admired so she could keep her hidden under all of her dolls. She gives Lestat dead blood and slits his throat open. She even goes so far as to knock Louis down emotionally (not that its hard for her, but its still pretty damn cruel. I like my Louis)

While we're making suggestions that have a low chance of recognition by those in charge here, I suggest Ico.
For one, he's got bull horns. Real ones growing out of his head. He gets sent to a big castle in a stone coffin and left to die. Ya gotta play the game to get a real grasp of all the crap he's gotta go through to get out of there.. but hell, who else has to fight off legions of black demons, armed with nothing but a stick, to save some girl he just met?
This kid is freaking brave. I swear, I dunno how he does it.

Well, it looks like every-freakin-person under the sun has some damn suggestion to make. How about you people discuss ONE suggestion instead of smacking me with an entire grocery list and then getting all whinny when I didn't add your suggestion the very next day.

I would like to second the suggestions by other people:
1.) Guts - He is one kickass dude, if you've watched the anime or read the manga, you would never deny him a spot on the badass list.
2.) John Foster (was it?) the equilibrium dude - This guy is crazy-go-nuts when it comes to pistols or CQC. He studied the Geometry of Fighting in order to be able to take out a maximum number of opponents in his fighting radius. Hollywood found him so badass, they made him Batman in Batman Begins! He would be a great addition.
3.) Kenshin - This is an assassin who is the best of the best in feudal Japan. He can take on legions of guys and even the best samurai. This is not a guy to mess with, and if you've seen the series, you know what they did to him in order to have a chance at beating him, but he still prevailed. I would like others to voice how they feel about him getting on to the list.
My Own Suggestion:
The Fallout Main Character - He has no official name since you get to name him, but he goes through all kinds of crap. He basically wanders around a post-apocalyptic world fighting everything from Rats to mutants in order to save his Vault from dying. He has a more badass reason to be put on the list, but I don't want to give away any spoilers for people who are planning to play the game. If you have, I'd like to hear your opinion about this.

Well, the 3 on Dex's list (Guts, John PRESTON, and Kenshin) I agree deserve a spot on the badass list. Exactly where in the rankings, I dunno, but a spot. Especially Guts. Guts goes through so much crap it's not even funny. As far as Mr. Fallout goes... I uh.. I don't really know enough about his life to properly judge him.. though I am familiar with this "more badass reason" that Dex so cryptically referred to.
In any case, since everyone here seems afraid of spewing spoilers all over this thread, it makes it really hard to strengthen any arguments either for or against said applicants. I'd say Dex's post makes their worthiness pretty self explanatory, but if consent was given to post spoilers, or perhaps a disclaimer of sort was used, specific examples could be utilized to further enhance any given argument.
Right well, I'll give you all a chance to reflect on this. All in all, add Guts damnit! ..and John and Kenshin.. if you have time.

I support you on the first two choices as I have too suggested those and agree they are bad ass. As for the fallout character, well, he died too early in the game so I didnt get to to see his badassery...plus fallout is hard. |

John Preston has been added. As for Kenshin.... I found this photo of him HEREIf we add him, he'll be the only one repeated thousands of times by uber-annoying anime fans (as opposed to you cool anime fans who are not annoying.... or um less annoying). That just isn't badass. |

Alright, here we go. Since it seems I'm having trouble finding pics of Kenshin's most badass of scenes, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I've uploaded a Kenshin music video to the song November Rain by Guns and Roses. You can see the blood spatter better in video anyways, heheh. The video basically tells the story of Kenshin's 'growing up' days and his life as an assassin. Now, this is the OVA (Origional Video Animation) in which Kenshin is a cold blooded assassin killer, not this pretty boy cutesy guy that girls love to make him out to be. Watch this video, it contains the best of his most badass moments. If you still think he doesn't deserve a spot on the list and you have a decent reason, then I won't argue against you, but this should change your view of him at the very least. I thought you might bring up this arguement, but I thought this was a mighty list of badass we had here. Not the list Obscure, Unsung, Mighty Badass Heroes. As far as I know, Lord Vader isn't obscure and is probably a character alot of people would think of as badass. This is not a reason that should deny Kenshin a spot on the list. As for the Fangirl images, he's a badass and adored by women everywhere. I like how Vivi put in that no one is invulnerable to fangirl images, it's true. I want Musical's two-cents on Kenshin, he saw the OAV. |
