In any case, oh look, a comic that tries to address a complex issue in a simplistic way, ignoring key facts. I like how it makes it seem there was an insurmountable denial of care that killed her significant other, or that ANYONE can see patients at ANYTIME. Family members and spouses are denied visiting at certain times depending on the situation.
Most important to me is what exactly the disease was. Also, she could have done a power of attorney in order to have control when her significant other didn't. You don't need to be married for that, just need some paper and foresight. And to be honest, if it was about money, should could always take out a loan to pay for the expenses, being that she has good credit from paying her bills all the time.
Anyhow, frequently I see this:
"The hospital killed my father!!!"
"Sir he was an alcoholic whose liver had failed and would not benefit from a transplant."
"DAMN YOU HEALTHCARE!!!!!"
"But..."
Long story short, I say pfft and twaddle to that weak attempt to grab at my heartstrings.
