Wait, wouldn't it be safe to assume that the joker may have done it to get Batman's attention? Why would the Joker promote his enemy's insignia? Wouldn't he make his own mark? It could be simply to draw his attention, it's even more personal if it's the batsymbol. Also, we're not even sure if this is in the movie, it's pure PR.

I can't believe you guys are critically analyzing a movie poster. Bat symbol, fire, destruction, Batman looking on; all there is to it.

Is that motorbike actually physically possible? I mean, also, what if he fell on unaware bystanders? I can imagine those flaming shards of glass could harm or injure others as well.
Who is this Batman that throws civilians into needless danger, just to look cool?

Or we could even pose this question. What the heck is Batman's purpose if he doesn't care about the lives of others?

Actually, I think it's a screenshot of him wrestling one of the Transformers.

I like how his head conveniently appears through the structure of the bike. His matter-of-fact expression, however, is weird.

Nothing perturbs the Batman. Not even his own wackiness.

It looks like he is considering to clean the front wheel with some WD-40. Some BAT-WD-40.

That comment made me laugh a bit too hard. Props on that one. Can't say that Patricks retort caused the same sort of delight... Or did it?

Yeah, but Iron Man was more awesome than the trailer.
*awaits the beating that is surely upon him*

Iron Man was pretty good. I wouldn't say it was that great, but it was surely entertaining. A lot of people have said that maybe it was like that because people didn't expect much from it.

I thought they did a really excellent job of telling the story of how Iron Man came to be. It was a real sense of progression throughout the movie at a steady pace, and when he finally came out in his prime it was awesome. Also, the dude who played Stark did a great job at pulling off the character. Great stuff.

I'm surprised Robert Downey Jr is making a comeback. He succumbed to alcoholism and drugs for a while, and didn't do much of anything. Then he came back slowly but surely, starring in indies like Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Good Night and Good Luck, and then all of a sudden BANG! He's Iron Man, and shows that he's still a good actor. It's kinda funny that he's playing Stark, since he's also an alcoholic.
As for the way the movie was executed, it was good, but then again its like every other superhero movie that Marvel has allowed to be made. It's getting to be the same story: person gets a new power, outlook on life changes, endures a few setbacks, then has to fight some evil dude that used to be a personal friend. I think superhero movies are only good once in a while, this whole succession is too much. Three superhero movies this summer? DANG!
Although Iron Man did do a few new good things, like you said the build up was good, but then the last fight scenes were kinda like EH. Also, I like how Pepper Potts didn't become a damsel in distress, but actually helped Stark defeat the Iron Monger. Also, how there was no "the law tries to capture the hero" scene. You could argue that him fighting the Raptors was like that, but he did have Rhodes on his side. And Iron Man's debut was a whole lot better than Batman's in Batman Begins, it was kind of a downer. Although he did live up to his vigilante thug status by the end of the movie.
I think the realism that Christopher Nolan is tackling the new Batman films with is refreshing. Can't make any early judgements, but it looks like The Dark Knight will have the best acting in a superhero movie ever. You got Bale, Ledger, Oldman, Caine, Freeman, and Eckhart is OK. To be honest, you can't really classify the new Batman movies as superhero movies, the way they are being filmed is just too different from the Marvel archetype. They're getting to be more like action-dramas. But the Dark Knight finally looks like it will put that hero-esque action into the mix, you know, the one where every move he does is iconic, like jumping down and looking like a bat against the moon.
